The Chadwick Ring by Julia Jeffries was published in February 1982 by Signet. Ginerva was the second wife of the Marquess of Chadwick and hated the fact that everyone knew he kept a mistress but he had a grown son who just might help make her husband jealous!We see our hero and heroine in a reluctant embrace in this cover by Allan Kass. They stand in a dark corner of a room and the darkness is emphasized by the twilight outside. The heroine looks as if she is just submitting to the embrace, probably for reasons of her own. It's sad that we don't get a good look at the hero's face.
