Next in our list is Broken Vows, which was published in May 1982 by Signet for author Elizabeth Hewitt. Clarice was relieved when her rakish husband died at sea and was about to embark on a second marriage when he comes back quite alive!
I love this cover by Allan Kass. We get a glimpse of St Paul's Cathedral from an office window where our couple stand. It looks as if the hero is stealing a kiss from the reluctant heroine. I like his purple coat which is echoed in the color of the curtains and blends well with the heroine's olive green gown. It's the details of the picture which is Allan's strength. Enjoy!!
